Thing 13.

This is a document I made using Zoho. I was extremely unimpressed with Zoho. Anything I can do on Zoho I can do on a regular Microsoft Word and seeing as I am much more comfortable with Word, I will not be using Zoho again.



However,.. I completely LOVE google.docs! It is an awesome program and so easy to use. I had fun making my little collage and I think it would be great for students to use. They could make a collage of things they learned in a lesson, or a montage of pictures that follow a certain topic,... the possibilities are endless. This helps bring out the creativity in anyone. I will definitely be using google.docs again.



Also, I'm completely serious about Jerry's snocones. BEST. PLACE. EVER.

Thing 12.

Here is an album from my Picasa account. It automatically transferred all of my photos from my personal blog and my teaching blog to Picasa. Since you have all seen my 23 things blog pictures I chose to make my personal blog photos public. You can click on this link to see any of my photos.

I have a translation app on my iPhone and I used it to talk to a co-worker, Rodrigo, because he didnt speak much English and was lonely in the dishroom, so I made friends with him by speaking Spanish. I think it would touch a student to know that I cared enough to try, just like Rodrigo did! :]

Thing 11.

This thing was a little difficult for me. I am pretty much a "google-only" type of person. When I am looking for a blog to read I simply google what I am searching for. That is how I found the cookie blog I enjoy. I tried to use the "Syndic8.com",.. I typed in kittens hoping to find a cute blog about kittens but the links I clicked on were not working. Very disappointing. Then, I clicked on another kitten link and was sent directly to a burlesque website called the "glitterkitten." NOT what I was looking for. Needless to say, I think I will stick to my googling methods, it seems to work best for me.

ALSO, lately I am completely addicted to Pinterest.com. It is amazing! You follow your friends and basically "pin" your interests on your "boards" you can click on the things you pin and a lot of them lead you to blogs! I especially love to pin wedding pictures or home-y pictures. My pinterest name is ECALBERT, if interested.
